The National Dialogue on Media Freedom in Ghana convened with key stakeholders to address pressing issues facing the country's media landscape.
The event emphasised the critical role of the media in safeguarding democracy and ensuring the free flow of information.
Over the past decade, Ghana's standing in global press freedom rankings has declined, highlighting a need for urgent action.
Participants discussed challenges such as violence against journalists, misinformation, and political interference, and proposed actionable solutions to restore media freedom.
The dialogue aimed to reinforce media integrity, protect journalists, and uphold the democratic values fundamental to Ghana's society.
