The Running Mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2024 polls, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has praised his wife, Alma Naa Jama Opoku Prempeh, for beginning her campaign for the party ahead of the 2024 elections.
In a Facebook post on September 1, 2024, NAPO shared footage of his wife beginning her campaign in the Greater Accra Region, specifically in the Odododiodoo Constituency, stating, “Welcome to the contest of ideas, sweetheart,” with a love emoji attached to the post.
Alma Naa Jama Opoku Prempeh began her political campaign at the Odododiodoo Constituency, where she visited her maternal family home to seek their support.
Accompanied by prominent figures, including the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, as well as regional and constituency executives of the NPP, Mrs Opoku Prempeh sought the blessings of her family elders to commence her campaign.
The visit featured traditional rites, heartfelt exchanges with her family, and enthusiastic endorsements from party supporters who gathered for the event.
During the visit, the head of Alma’s maternal family, Nii Agyir Banor, invoked the blessings of the ancestors, calling on them to guide and protect Mrs Opoku Prempeh as she embarks on this important campaign.
