The Principal of St. Vincent College of Education in Yendi, Dr. Erasmus Norviewu-Mortty, has advocated for a culture of inclusiveness and respect for all religions in Ghana's educational institutions.
He emphasised that as future leaders, students should develop a mindset of embracing and respecting other religious groups.
Dr. Norviewu-Mortty made these remarks during the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a religious worship center that will serve various denominations at the college.

The multipurpose building, with a capacity to accommodate up to 800 people, is expected to be completed in two years at a cost of GH₵1.5 million.
It will serve as a worship center for Catholics at the school, while also housing a mosque for Muslim worshippers and a counseling center for students.
Speaking to JoyNews, Dr. Erasmus Norviewu-Mortty stated that St. Vincent College of Education aims to promote religious tolerance and inclusivity, in line with the Catholic Church's core values of integrity, discipline, and hard work, which are shared by all societies.

Dr Erasmus said the school which was established by the Catholic Church believes in promoting unity and diversity as a core ethical pillar for a peaceful country.
"This St. Jude Chaplaincy has a Catholic Chapel and Counselling centre and a dignifying prayer hall for the exclusive use of our Muslim brothers and sisters. This is to celebrate St Vincent as a unique academic institution dedicated to fostering religious dialogue in an environment of peace and academic excellence," he said.
Dr. Erasmus stated that Muslim students currently pray on verandas or under trees that serve as makeshift prayer grounds, which becomes challenging during rainy days.
He explained that the college has laid gravel under the trees to help the area dry quickly after rains, with plans to eventually concrete the spot for the students.
The sod-cutting ceremony was led by the Catholic Bishop of the Yendi Diocese.
The event also featured a Mass, the baptism of 20 students, and the confirmation of three others.
