Management of MTN in Northern and Savannah Regions has presented a cheque amount of Ten Thousand cedis to Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I at his palace in Damongo in the Savannah Region.
The gesture, which comes with a pledge to support the King's vision for his kingdom, is in response to an appeal made by the King to MTN to support the celebration of this year's Yagbonwura damba.
One thousand cedis worth of MTN airtime and crates of soft drinks were given as part of the package.
The leader of the team, Kwame Aseye Akude, noted, "Your Highness, we are here to give feedback to your application seeking our support for the Damba. So, we bring a cheque of GHS10, 000, GHS1, 000 worth of MTN airtime, and some soft drinks for the celebration ", he stated.

He indicated the network's readiness to collaborate with all stakeholders, especially in the Savannah Region, for the betterment of the welfare of all their customers.
Yagbonwura, on his part, commended MTN for their kind gesture, adding, "Your presence here means the future is brighter, and together, we shall develop my area. Damba celebration is part and parcel of our culture and in this case, you have shown that you are part of us and we are part of you", Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto said.
The King later appealed to the management to support his educational fund which will be launched during the Damba festival.
