Karela United salvaged a crucial point with a last-minute equaliser in their 1-1 draw at home against FC Samartex in matchweek five of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
FC Samartex took the lead just before the break, with Godwin Sefah finding the back of the net in the dying moments of the first half. Despite pushing for an equaliser, Karela United struggled to break down a resolute Samartex defence.
It wasn’t until the 90th minute that Hadi Mohammed rescued the hosts, slotting home a dramatic late equaliser to avoid a home defeat. The goal sparked wild celebrations, ensuring Karela United shared the spoils after a tough contest.
