A member of the legal team defending activists from the Democracy Hub, Noah Adamtey is confident that those granted bail on Monday, October 7, will be released from police custody today, Wednesday, October 9.
Mr Adamtey assured that all necessary processes to meet the bail conditions for the group had been completed.
His remarks come after the Democracy Hub accused state authorities of deliberately delaying the release of 52 activists, who had been granted bail by the High Courts of Accra.
The activists were detained during the #StopGalamseyNow protests, and despite the court's ruling, they remained in custody.

In a statement on Tuesday night, the Democracy Hub criticized the procedural inefficiency, stating, "Despite the court granting bail in the morning, the order wasn’t even sent to the police until 2 PM the following day.”
Speaking on Joy FM’s Midday News, Adamtey explained that he had been at the courts to ensure all the necessary documentation was processed.

"The registrar has been with us all through the morning... She was here to help us to go through the bail process," the lawyer said.
He added that everything has been taken care of, and expected the police to present the group to the court for their subsequent release today.
The delay has sparked frustration among supporters of the detained activists, with Democracy Hub accusing the state of intentional inefficiency and bureaucratic tactics to frustrate the exercise of civic rights.
However, Mr Adamtey’s reassurances suggest that their release may be imminent.
