The General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, Bishop Salifu Amoako, has apologised to the families of the two young girls who tragically perished in an accident caused by his son, Elrad Salifu Amoako.
According to Bishop Amoako, the days following the incident have been extremely challenging for him and his family, especially considering that his 16-year-old son was at the center of the accident.
An Accra Circuit Court on Wednesday granted Bishop Salifu Amoako bail after he and his wife were arrested to assist in the investigation.
In a video shared on social media, the religious leader is seen on his knees in a solemn mood, pleading for forgiveness from the families of the deceased over the tragic incident.
"I am devastated and no amount of words can reverse this tragic and horrible incident, I have cried so much... But all that I'm asking is that may God console your families, may God give you strength to heal in these trying moments," he said on Friday, October 18.
“I am pleading with all Ghanaians to plead with the families on my behalf," he added.
Meanwhile, the Court has granted Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako a GH¢50,000 bail with two sureties each.
