The Ghana Police Service has arrested suspect Fatawu Ibrahim, also known as Fatau Motorway, in connection with violent clashes between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Mamobi, Accra, on October 13, 2024.
Ibrahim was declared wanted after being caught on video wielding a firearm during the clash. He remained at large, prompting the police to announce a ¢20,000 bounty for his capture.
However, the police in a statement noted that he is now in police custody.
During the disturbances, two individuals were reportedly shot and injured.

The clashes also resulted in nine people sustaining injuries, with authorities stepping in to restore order.
The police in an earlier statement confirmed that one suspect had already been arrested in connection with the incident.
Authorities have confirmed that the suspect will be arraigned in court soon as investigations into the incident continue.
The police reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring peace and order, emphasizing that all involved in the violence will face the full force of the law.
