The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is poised to surpass its 2020 electoral performance in the 2024 general elections, according to Sammi Awuku, the party’s National Organiser.
Speaking on Joy News’ PM Express on November 26, he expressed confidence in the party’s strategic groundwork and its ability to defy expectations.
“The campaign slogan is ‘More of it is possible,’ and I’m not surprised that we’re definitely going to, once again, defy the odds to get that target,” he stated.
The National Lotteries Authority boss added that his personal goal is to secure 70% of the votes in the Akuapem North constituency.
Sammi Awuku emphasised his rigorous grassroots campaign efforts, which include door-to-door engagements, community meetings, and targeted outreach to groups such as farmers.
He noted the NPP’s potential for growth, stating that the party has not rested on past achievements.
“I am not one of those people who say, ‘Oh, in the heydays, it was 63%, 64%, so I should manage expectations.’ In this election, the NPP is likely to even perform better than we did in 2020, and I kid you not,” he said.
The National Organiser highlighted the profound message the NPP is carrying into the elections and predicted a surprising outcome.
“On December 8, you’ll come back to this studio and go like, ‘It looks like something is happening that one may not understand,’” he said with confidence.
Sammi Awuku’s optimism stems from the NPP’s track record and its ability to adapt to challenging circumstances.
He underscored the party’s focus on addressing voters’ concerns and delivering impactful policies.
