The Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) has urged political leaders, candidates, the Electoral Commission, security agencies, and citizens to ensure free, fair, and peaceful elections on December 7.
The Chamber emphasized the importance of responsible voting, urging citizens to view elections as an opportunity to choose leadership rather than a cause for division.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Chamber highlighted Ghana’s consistent history of peaceful elections, which had contributed significantly to the country’s economic progress and made it an attractive destination for global investments.
The GNCCI stressed that political stability was essential for fostering a conducive business environment, and maintaining peace is crucial for sustaining current gains and expanding economic opportunities for all Ghanaians.
The Chamber also noted the productive collaborations with international partners, which have empowered businesses and promoted economic growth.
In line with its mandate to protect the Ghanaian private sector, the GNCCI urged all citizens, political parties, and stakeholders to prioritize peace and unity for the continued prosperity of the nation.
“Peace is the bedrock of prosperity, and the GNCCI is confident that Ghana will once again demonstrate its democratic maturity,” it added.
The Chamber said it remained committed to fostering a vibrant business environment for the benefit of all.
