The Multimedia Group Limited acknowledges that defamatory comments were made by Najeeb Yakubu, a former Ghana youth player and current member of the Niger national team, during an interview on Prime Take.
These comments were published on our platforms, and we have been made aware of their damaging nature through legal correspondence from Mr. Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association.
Upon review, we understand that the interviewer, Muftawu Nabila Abdulai, responsibly questioned Mr. Yakubu about these claims and sought additional perspectives by consulting officials from Dreams FC to ensure balanced reporting. Despite this, these allegations were subsequently published, an inadvertent oversight on our part.
We hereby retract the publication containing these defamatory comments and sincerely apologize to Mr. Kurt Okraku for any harm caused to his reputation.
We deeply regret the error and are committed to ensuring greater diligence in our future reporting.
Signed
