The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has praised Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for demonstrating exceptional statesmanship through his concession speech.
Mr Gyamfi made these remarks in a social media post on Sunday, December 8, following Bawumia’s formal concession to John Dramani Mahama after the 2024 general elections.
In his post, Mr Gyamfi acknowledged the grace with which Dr Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, accepted the election results.

He described the speech as a remarkable act of leadership and commended Bawumia for his role in promoting peace and stability during a critical moment in Ghana’s democratic process.
“Dr Mahamudu Bawumia deserves all our respect for his exceptional concession speech,” Mr Gyamfi stated.
He added that such gestures reinforce the nation’s commitment to democratic principles and foster unity among Ghanaians, regardless of political affiliations.
The NDC communicator also encouraged all political stakeholders to take inspiration from Bawumia’s example and work towards a harmonious and progressive Ghana.
His comments come amid widespread commendations for Bawumia’s statesmanlike approach to post-election engagements.
