The Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana, University of Cape Coast (GRASAG-UCC), has congratulated H.E. John Dramani Mahama on his victory in the 2024 general elections.
In a statement signed by the association’s president, Robert Ipin Gnankob, GRASAG-UCC said, “We extend warm congratulations to H.E. John Dramani Mahama as the President-Elect of the Republic of Ghana.”
The statement also celebrated Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for her historic achievement as the first female Vice-President-Elect of Ghana. “We are immensely proud of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, who has broken barriers by becoming the first female Vice-President-Elect of Ghana.

"Her success is a beacon of hope and inspiration for women in leadership and academia,” the statement read.
Additionally, GRASAG-UCC congratulated Hon. Dr Kwamena Minta Nyarku on his re-election as the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North.
The statement noted, “Your re-election is a testament to your dedication to the people of Cape Coast North and your commitment to education and community development. We look forward to your continued efforts to champion progress in these areas.”
The association expressed optimism about collaborating with the respective offices of the elected leaders to advance initiatives that promote graduate studies and national development.
