Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Edward Omane Boamah, has called on the Electoral Commission of Ghana to immediately halt what he describes as "illegality" taking place at the Police Training School.
Dr Omane Boamah has raised concerns over actions he believes undermine the integrity of the electoral process, particularly regarding the handling of election-related procedures at the location.
In a statement on Facebook, Dr Omane Boamah emphasised that the ongoing activities at the Police Training School are not only illegal but also damaging to the credibility of the electoral process.
He insisted that the Electoral Commission must take swift action to stop any unlawful activities and ensure that the election is conducted fairly and transparently.
Furthermore, Dr Omane Boamah called for the convening of an Emergency Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting to address the concerns.
He stated that an urgent dialogue between the Electoral Commission, political parties, and other relevant stakeholders is necessary to resolve any issues and ensure a smooth and credible electoral process.
“The Electoral Commission of Ghana must stop the illegality taking place at the Police Training School & convene an Emergency IPAC meeting,” he posted.
