The Vanuatu Trade Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency Ambassador Prof. Hugh Aryee has congratulated Ghana's former President John Dramani Mahama on his re-election as President in Ghana’s just-ended general elections.
“As the Vanuatu Trade Commissioner to Ghana, I am delighted to extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on being elected as the President of the Republic of Ghana. This victory reflects the faith and trust the Ghanaian people have in your vision for the nation” the Commissioner said in a statement.
The Vanuatu Trade Commissioner to Ghana said historically, Ghana and Vanuatu “share a unique bond rooted in our mutual commitment to sustainable development, environmental preservation, and the advancement of our people.”
“Both nations have championed the importance of cultural identity, global inclusivity, and the empowerment of local communities. This shared philosophy has laid the groundwork for fruitful collaborations, including initiatives facilitated by the Vanuatu Trade Commission Ghana.
He said Vanuatu looks forward to “deepening this historic relationship under your esteemed leadership. Together, we can explore new opportunities to enhance trade, foster innovation, and promote economic growth that aligns with our collective commitment to a sustainable future."
May your presidency usher in an era of prosperity, unity, and continued global respect for Ghana” the statement concluded.
Mr John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) secured a convincing victory and is preparing to take over governance on January 7, 2025.
Already, the incoming and the outgoing administrations have commenced the transition process.
