Ghana’s Black Galaxies head coach Didi Dramani is “refining” the playing body ahead of the crucial first-leg encounter against Nigeria in the 2024 CHAN qualifiers.
The team has been camping for the past few weeks intensifying training for the upcoming clash.
It includes friendly matches as the Galaxies recently beat Togo 2-0 on December 11.
Didi Dramani’s charges had secured back-to-back wins over Nania FC and Northern City in two preparatory matches at the GFA Technical Centre.
"We are refining every process of what we have,” Didi told GhanaFA media.
“We try to do some maintenance in terms of the physical aspect of it because they [players] are already in season and we try to take care of those who are already highly exhausted in terms of their loading.
"We are physically, technically, tactically well-oriented and once the days come by, we still continue to refine.
“I am very positive that come Sunday, we should be fully ready. As for preparation, we are okay, we are already there but we have to be ready for the game.”
Ghana beat Nigeria on penalties to qualify for the last edition of the CHAN tournament and hope to repeat the feat on December 22.
Nigeria had missed out on the last two editions of the continental event.
The winner of the two-legged tie advances to the CHAN 2024 tournament to be held in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania next year.
