Hearts of Oak coach Abubakar Ouattara has praised substitute Mawuli Wayo for scoring two late goals that helped his team win 3-2 against Accra Lions in an exciting Ghana Premier League match.
Wayo came on in the second half when Hearts were losing 2-1 after giving up two goals in the 52nd and 73rd minutes.
He turned the game around with goals in the 81st and 84th minutes, securing the victory for his team.
After the match, Coach Ouattara praised Wayo's performance and also appreciated the efforts of other substitutes like Martin Karikari.
“We struggled earlier, but Wayo, Karikari, and the others came in and changed the game. They made sure we got the three points, and that’s what matters,” he said.
“We lost concentration when we came from the dressing room, I don’t know what happened but the important thing is we took the three points”.
Hearts of Oak is now 6th on the league table with 25 points.
