Bechem United eased past leaders Heart of Lions with a 3-0 hammering in a Ghana Premier League Week 16 clash at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
It was a keenly contested match until the home side scored two quick-fire goals on the stroke of half time to put them in a comfortable lead.
Darlvin Yeboah pounced on a loose ball and slotted in the opener and then Emmanuel Abban added the second just before the break.
Heart of Lions mounted pressure in the second half with the aim to reduce the deficit until their hopes was extinguished when Abban netted his second with 20 minutes left to play.
Bechem eventually claimed all three points and further extended their winning streak to six matches.
The form moves them into fourth place with 29 points.
Meanwhile, the visitors, who won their last four matches, have now suffered their heaviest season defeat, but still sit joint-top of the table with 30 points.
Up next for Heart of Lions is a home match against Nations FC while Bechem are away to Young Apostles.
