Governs Kwame Agbodza and Haruna Iddrisu, nominees for ministerial positions in President John Mahama’s government, are set to face Parliament’s Appointments Committee today for vetting.
The session forms part of the ongoing process to scrutinise individuals selected for key roles in the new administration.
Mr Agbodza, who has been nominated for the position of Roads and Highways Minister, and Mr. Iddrisu, the Education Minister-designate, will be questioned on their qualifications, vision, and plans for their respective portfolios.
Their vetting follows an announcement made by Parliament on its official Facebook page on Sunday, 19 January 2025.
So far, three of President Mahama’s ministerial nominees have undergone the vetting process, with discussions centred on their suitability to deliver on the government’s agenda.
The vetting sessions have been keenly watched, as they provide an opportunity for the public to assess the nominees’ preparedness for office.
The outcome of today’s proceedings will play a crucial role in determining whether the nominees will be approved to take up their respective roles in government.
