The Band FRA celebrated its 10th anniversary in spectacular fashion last Saturday with the FRA!10NITY FESTIVAL held at the Alliance Française in Accra.
The event, a testament to a decade of musical innovation and captivating performances, brought together a diverse lineup of talented artists and a packed venue of enthusiastic fans.
The night was a vibrant showcase of Ghanaian musical talent, featuring performances from a host of exceptional bands.
Nativ Afrik kicked off the night with a high-energy 20-minute set, followed by the dynamic GG Brass for 15 minutes. West Coast Ebusua kept the momentum going with a 20-minute performance, while the Nkyinkyim Band captivated the audience for 23 minutes. Prince Benjamin also graced the stage with a heartfelt 5-minute performance.
A special moment of the evening was when PENGOD took to the stage with a compelling spoken word piece, setting the stage for the highly anticipated performance of The Band FRA.
The band did not disappoint, delivering an unforgettable 120-minute set that featured back-to-back hits from their albums. Their performance had the crowd on their feet, singing along to every song.
A remarkable highlight of the night was the announcement by the Executives of the Alliance Française that they would offer The Band FRA their venue free of charge for their next event. This pledge was a direct response to the band's exhilarating performance and their ability to fill the venue to capacity.
The Band FRA has had an impressive year, with international tours in 2024, visiting countries like the UK and many more, further cementing their global appeal and status as ambassadors of Ghanaian music.
The FRA!10NITY FESTIVAL not only celebrated a decade of musical artistry but also marked a new dawn for live band music in Ghana. The event was a resounding success, affirming the power and potential of live music in Ghana, with The Band FRA leading the charge.
The overwhelming attendance and enthusiastic response promise a bright future for live band music and demonstrate the power of The Band FRA to attract a wide array of music lovers.
