West Ham manager Graham Potter "demands a lot" after just three weeks in charge, according to forward Mohammed Kudus.
The 49-year-old signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Hammers on January 9, replacing Julen Lopetegui, who was sacked following a string of poor results.
West Ham played out a 1-1 draw in their last encounter against Aston Villa.
"He demands a lot," Kudus told SkySports.
"He's only been here a short period of time but we can feel the energy as players.
"For me, it was the same with the old manager, they expect a lot, and the challenging part is replicating what he wants me to do in his system. I know we don't have time, but this stuff does take time.
"The fans expect points straight away and we have to get wins, but settling into a new way of playing takes time."
Despite his arrival, West Ham continue to struggle, managing just one win in their last four matches.
The Hammers travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in their next Premier League encounter.
