Ghanaian high jumper Rose Yeboah has once again raised the bar—literally—after setting a new indoor national record of 1.92m at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic 2025.
The performance saw her improve her own previous record by 1cm, further cementing her dominance in the discipline. Yeboah shared the achievement with Nigeria’s Temitope Adeshina, as both athletes successfully cleared the 1.92m mark.
This latest milestone adds to Yeboah’s growing reputation as Ghana’s finest female high jumper, with the potential to make a major impact on the global stage.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian sprinter Anita Afrifa was also in record-breaking form, delivering a sensational 23.26s in the 200m indoor race at the 2025 Steve Miller Invitational in Kansas, USA.
Her performance shattered the previous national record of 23.34s, which had been held by Flings Owusu-Agyapong since February 12, 2016.
Anita's 23.26s is also a meeting record.
Afrifa, a student-athlete at Colby Community College, is under the guidance of Head Coach Clinton Fletcher, and her rapid progress suggests she could be one of Ghana’s next big sprinting stars.
