A total of 69 cholera cases and two deaths have been recorded in the Central Region between 6th and 8th February, 2025, according to the Ghana Health Service.
Efutu reported the highest number of cases, with 38 infections and two deaths. Agona West recorded 19 cases, while Gomoa Central, Cape Coast, and Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem reported three, two, and five cases respectively.
Hospital admissions stood at 25 on 6th February, 22 on 7th February, and 17 on 8th February. Severe cases reduced from four on the first day to two on the second day, with none on the last day. Moderate cases were 12, 10, and five, while mild cases were 15, 12, and nine over the three days.
