The University of Cape Coast (UCC) buzzed with academic energy as hundreds of students attended the Smart Start Tutorials, an initiative led by Lauren Baaba Annan, also known as The LAW.
This programme focuses on providing academic support in Communication Skills, Economics, and Chemistry, and aims to empower students for academic excellence.
Held at CALC 8 and LT 21, the tutorials proved to be a turning point for students eager to lay a strong academic foundation for the semester. The engaging and interactive sessions offered valuable insights that are expected to significantly enhance students' academic performance.

Lauren Baaba Annan, a Level 300 Doctor of Pharmacy student and a prominent figure in student leadership, is also a key contender in the UCC SRC Presidential race.
With the belief that after 62 years, UCC is ready for a female leader, she is dedicated to ushering in a new era of inclusivity, transformation, and progressive governance.
Beyond her leadership ambitions, Baaba Annan’s commitment to Leadership, Advocacy, and Welfare is evident through initiatives like Smart Start, which provide students with essential academic support. The overwhelming participation and positive feedback from attendees highlight the real impact of her vision for student development.

As the semester progresses, The LAW remains resolute in her mission to uplift students, demonstrating that leadership is not only about ambition but also about service, impact, and creating meaningful change.
