The founder of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams has called for unity and restraint among political leaders, cautioning against the use of political power to settle personal scores.
Speaking at the 'Mahama meet the clergy' event in Kumasi on Sunday, 2nd March 2025, Duncan-Williams stressed the importance of using power responsibly, particularly in service to the people and the nation.
During his sermon, the Archbishop delivered a stern message to both current and future leaders.
"Do not use the victory and the glory of this president to settle scores with anyone, because there are implications for that," he cautioned.
His statement was directed at those in power, urging them to be mindful of the broader consequences of wielding authority for personal vendettas.
Duncan-Williams further elaborated that power, when entrusted to individuals, should be used for the betterment of society, not as a tool for personal gain or to prove a point.
"When you use power given to you and entrusted to you for the benefit of the people and the citizens to settle scores and to prove a point, there are serious implications for that," he warned, urging leaders to exercise their authority with wisdom and integrity.
