Zenith Bank Ghana has marked Ghana’s 68th Independence Day celebration with a rich display of Ghanaian Culture in its 43 business locations nationwide.
The Bank’s “Wear Ghana” initiative saw staff members proudly adorned in local Ghanaian prints to celebrate Ghanaian fashion, promote national identity and encourage the patronage of locally manufactured fabrics, while its “Tastes of Ghana"’ customer initiative treated the Bank’s customers to local bar set-ups of some of Ghana’s beloved local drinks and traditional snacks such as Asana, Sobolo, Lamugin, Adunlei, Atsomo, Nkatsi cake and Agbele Kaklo.
Speaking at a warm and celebratory atmosphere on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, Henry Onwuzurigbo, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank (Ghana) Ltd, described the initiative as a heartfelt tribute to Ghana’s independence, providing both staff and customers with an opportunity to celebrate the nation's rich history and traditions in a meaningful way.
“As a Bank, we believe in the importance of honouring national identity and ensuring that our customers feel connected not only to us but also to the rich heritage that defines Ghana,” Mr. Onwuzurigbo stated.
A customer who spoke in anonymity said, the initiative shows that Zenith Bank understands the importance of national pride and is committed to strengthening this through its relationship with customers.
“It is heartwarming to see that Zenith Bank is not only focused on its core business but also actively participating in the celebration of the nation’s independence, fostering a strong sense of belonging,” he added.
The “Wear Ghana” and “Tastes of Ghana” initiatives, not only marked Ghana’s 68th Independence, but also strengthened the Bank’s longstanding relationship with its customers, creating a sense of community and shared national pride.
As the Bank continues to play an active role in the growth and development of Ghana, initiatives like these serve as reminders of its dedication to honouring the country's heritage while reinforcing its role as a key player in the country’s economic development. Zenith Bank is proud to be part of a forward-looking Ghana, where history is celebrated, and the future is bright.
