In a momentous display of alumni dedication and transformative vision, the Adisadel College Millennium (2000) Year Group has set a new benchmark in legacy projects.

The group officially handed over the extensively remodelled and refurbished Job 600 building to their alma mater on Saturday, March 8, during the school’s 115th Speech and Prize-Giving Day.

This remarkable initiative, costing over GH¢4 million, stands as the most ambitious project undertaken by any individual alumni group in the school’s history.

A Vision of Excellence Realised

The Millennium Year Group demonstrated exceptional commitment by internally raising GH¢ 4,742,582.48, securing an additional GH¢500,000 from external sources, and garnering GH¢757,417.52 in sponsorships and in-kind donations.

Addressing the gathering at the Speech Day, President of the year group, Richard Nii Amu Arthur, expressed the group's unwavering resolve:

“As a year group committed to setting new standards, we sought to embark on a project that would leave a lasting impact. Rather than constructing a new structure, we identified an essential yet deteriorating facility on campus—the Job 600 (Science Building).

Through extensive consultations with the General Executive Council, we resolved to revamp this multi-purpose building to align with the global standards of the best colleges in the world, ensuring that Adisadel College remains at the forefront of academic excellence.”

Overcoming Challenges, Achieving Greatness

Despite financial and logistical hurdles that had stalled previous renovation attempts, the group remained steadfast in their mission. Their belief in unity and commitment propelled them to complete this transformative project. The renovated Job 600 now stands as a state-of-the-art facility, symbolizing the limitless possibilities of vision and determination.

Amphitheater – A fully equipped venue for lectures, seminars, and performances.

National Science & Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) Room – A specialized space to prepare students for national competitions.
Computer Lab – Outfitted with the latest hardware and software to support digital learning.
Physics Lab – A cutting-edge facility for practical science education.
Media Center – A contemporary space for educational and recreational media activities.
Staff Rooms – Enhanced workspaces for faculty collaboration.
Administrative Offices – Expanded to meet the school’s growing operational needs.
Campus Store – A well-stocked shop providing essential student supplies.
Refurbished Classrooms – Modernized learning spaces designed for academic excellence.
Guidance and Counseling Room – A dedicated facility for student support and mentorship.
Electrical Rewiring – A complete upgrade for improved safety and efficiency.
Expanded Staircases & Emergency Exits – Improved accessibility and safety measures.
Roof Renovation & Basement Restrooms – Enhancements for durability, weather resistance, and sanitation.

Championing STEAM Education for National Development

The 115th Speech and Prize-Giving Day was held under the theme, “The Role of STEAM Education for National Development in the 21st Century.”

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Ave Kludze Klutse, a distinguished NASA scientist and proud alumnus from the Class of ’83.

Dr. Kludze urged students to immerse themselves in STEAM subjects, emphasising the importance of extracurricular engagement and continuous learning.

He proposed the establishment of an “Emerging Technologies” club to introduce students to fields such as quantum computing, advanced AI capabilities, and self-repairing materials. Pledging his support as the club’s founding patron, he stated:

“I encourage you to embrace this opportunity, follow your passions, and become the innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders our world desperately needs.

"In today’s digital era, countries that prioritize STEAM education are better positioned for success, while those that neglect it risk being left behind.”

The event was graced by esteemed personalities, including Special Guest Otwasuom Osae Nyampong VI, Patron of the Millennium Year Group, and Guest of Honour Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology (MEST), who represented President John Dramani Mahama.

The unveiling of the remodeled Job 600 stands as a defining moment in Adisadel College’s history—a testament to the enduring impact of visionary leadership, unity, and the unwavering commitment of Santaclausians to their alma mater.
