Afro-Arab Group is on a mission to eradicate fossil fuel-powered vehicles in Ghana, which contribute significantly to the adverse effects of climate change.
In its effort to address the dual challenges of climate change and the country’s housing deficit, the firm has announced a revolutionary initiative that tackles both issues simultaneously.
President of the firm, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, revealed that Afro-Arab Properties is offering an interest-free payment plan for homebuyers, allowing them to purchase homes and pay within a longer period without any interest.
The initiative, launched during the Ramadan season, is designed to make homeownership more accessible, particularly for low-income earners, while also promoting sustainability.
As part of this special offer, buyers will receive a free electric car, aligning with the nation’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change.
Ambassador Amadu emphasised that this initiative is a first-of-its-kind in Ghana’s real estate sector and aims to ease the housing burden for low-income earners while promoting eco-friendly alternatives.
“As part of Afro-Arab Properties’ vision to address the housing deficit in Ghana and beyond, we believe this initiative will help alleviate the burden on low-income earners while simultaneously supporting the fight against climate change,” Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu stated.
He continued, “The inclusion of electric cars in the offer is a significant step in Ghana’s ongoing push towards reducing its carbon footprint. With the transportation sector being a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, these free electric cars will provide buyers with a sustainable alternative, thus making the transition to cleaner, greener energy more accessible.”
"This Ramadan promotion not only eases financial burdens for homebuyers but also aligns with global sustainability goals by encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles. With this initiative, Afro-Arab Properties sets a new benchmark for innovative and socially responsible housing solutions in Ghana," he emphasised.
Youth advocate Samuel Ofori praised the initiative, calling it life-changing. “Initiatives like this bring hope to the youth because we can now acquire our dream homes and pay within five years without interest. In fact, this is the first time I’m hearing about such an offer in my life. The most exciting part is that they will also give you a free electric car, which aligns perfectly with our climate change goals,” he said during a press briefing to unveil the initiative in Accra on Saturday, March 22.
Afro-Arab Properties, a key player in Ghana’s real estate sector, is also committed to addressing the country’s housing challenges through sustainability-focused projects.
The initiative started in the Tema Communities, according to Ambassador Amadu is the first phase and it is expected to expand to other parts of the country's urban areas.
