Black Stars coach Otto Addo has revealed that Andre Ayew is lower in the pecking order for national team call-ups.
The 35-year-old has not received an invitation since Addo’s return in March 2024.
Andre has netted four goals in 11 starts for French Ligue 1 side Le Havre this season.
"If we need Andre Ayew, we will call him. At the moment, I see others ahead of him," Addo said in an exclusive interview with JoySports.
In his absence, Andre's brother, Jordan, has been made the substantive captain of Ghana.
He led the Black Stars to victories over Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The back-to-back wins put Ghana at the top of Group I with 15 points and four games remaining.
