Former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has reaffirmed his commitment to his advocacy despite a U.S. court ruling ordering him to pay $18 million in damages to investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas for defamation.
Speaking at his campaign office in Shiashie in Accra upon his return to Ghana on Thursday, March 27, Mr Agyapong addressed his supporters, expressing gratitude for their unwavering encouragement and vowing to continue his fight for truth and justice.
“I deeply appreciate the warm welcome you have given me and my wife. This support strengthens my resolve to keep speaking for the voiceless,” he stated.
Mr Agyapong, known for his outspoken nature, remained defiant, asserting that the court’s decision would not silence him.
"Nobody should worry. Anyone who speaks the truth and stands for the voiceless will face challenges. But through this ordeal, I have become a better person, and I will continue to fight and defend the truth,” he noted.
He also promised to address the ruling in detail at the right time, urging his followers to remain steadfast.
