Ghana U-20 forward Abdul Hakim Sulemana says the Black Satellites are determined to secure victory in their next outing at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations after a frustrating 1-1 draw with DR Congo in their Group C opener.
Despite being named Man of the Match, Sulemana expressed disappointment over the team’s inability to convert their chances, but remains optimistic about bouncing back.
"We gave it everything, but unfortunately, we didn’t make the most of our opportunities," he said.
"We’ve learned from it, and in the next game, we’re going all out for a win."
"Every chance we get, we’ll take it. We’re going to defend better and make sure we come out with the three points.” he added.
The Black Satellites, like all teams in Group C, have one point following Senegal’s 1-1 draw with the Central African Republic.
Ghana now turns their focus to their crucial second group game against Senegal, where a win could see them take a big step toward qualification.
Kick-off is at 6:00 p.m. local time.
