Government appointees who failed to meet the March 31 deadline for declaring their assets are to be dismissed if they fail to do so after May 6, 2025.
The warning came from the Minister in Charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who announced via a Facebook post that defaulters have until the close of May 6 to comply or face immediate dismissal.
“All defaulters have up to close of day tomorrow to declare their assets or they stand automatically dismissed,” Mr Kwakye Ofosu stated.
Already, the President has ordered that such appointees forfeit three months of their salary and donate the amount to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund.
Before this directive, all appointees of the government were to commit one month of their salary to the health initiative. This punitive action means that such appointees will now lose four months of their salaries.
The announcement was made by the Minister in Charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, via a Facebook post on Monday, May 5.
