Premier League champions Liverpool are progressing in their attempts to sign defender Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.
According to transfer expert David Ornstein, talks between the player's camp and the English side are well-advanced ahead of a summer transfer.
Liverpool are on the search for a right fullback following Trent Alexander-Arnold's decision to leave the club at the end of the season.
Frimpong has been identified as the perfect replacement for the Englishman who is expected to sign for Real Madrid following the end of his Merseyside adventure.
The Dutch defender with Ghanaian descent has been a key figure for Leverkusen in the last two seasons and was key for Xabi Alonso during the German side's unbeaten run to the Bundesliga title last season.
He also featured for the club as they secured the DFB Pokal title last season.
