Minister for Education Haruna Iddrisu says he is working to deepen international cooperation in education to help improve Ghana’s education system and promote development.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, May 15, the minister shared highlights of his participation in the CODEWAY EXPO 2025 held in Rome, Italy, where he represented Ghana.
“On the previous day in Rome, Italy, I had the privilege of representing Ghana at the CODEWAY EXPO 2025. During this event, I engaged with global leaders to explore innovative solutions for international development,” he wrote.

Mr Iddrisu also revealed that he held a meeting with Italy’s Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara.
The two ministers discussed ways their countries could work together to improve education.
“I also had a productive meeting with Italy's Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, where we discussed opportunities for enhancing educational cooperation between our two countries,” he stated.

He added that their conversation focused on sharing best practices and building partnerships that will benefit both countries.
“Our dialogue centred on bilateral cooperation aimed at identifying avenues for collaboration in education and sharing best practices to advance educational development,” he said.
Mr Iddrisu noted that such engagements show Ghana’s commitment to working with other nations to build strong and effective education systems.
“These initiatives reflect our commitment to strengthening partnerships that promote mutual growth and facilitate knowledge exchange,” he said, adding that global collaboration is key to “shaping effective education systems and fostering sustainable development.”
