The Managing Director of the Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC), Dr. Wisdom Kofi Dogbey, has indicated that his outfit is dedicated to ethical sourcing of cocoa beans and to empowering farmers to be productive.
During a strategic visit to the facility of Olam Food Ingredients Ghana Limited in Kumasi, Dr. Dogbey reaffirmed his commitment to fostering stronger trade relationships within Ghana’s cocoa industry.
He emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in strengthening the sector.
“As two leading entities in the cocoa sector, we have a unique opportunity to work together not just to grow our respective companies, but to contribute positively to Ghana’s economy,” he noted.
Dr. Dogbey stressed the need to remain forward-thinking in an increasingly competitive cocoa landscape. He called for innovation in transactional and operational models, urging both parties to explore smarter, more efficient approaches to doing business
“In today’s fast-paced environment, we must continuously seek new ways to enhance our products and services, ensuring that we remain competitive on the world stage,” he remarked.
The General Manager of the Cashew Business at OFI, Raphael Yussif Amankwa, expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the leadership of Cocoa Marketing Company of their commitment in promoting Ghana's Cocoa and Cashew farming.
"I just say your visit is a timely one as our outfit has already commenced some strategic moves to help increase the yield of Cocoa and Cashew in the country. I assure you that we have a great partnership that will promote the sector," he indicated.
