Former President, Chairman, and CEO of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), Katrina Adams, is set to visit Ghana to headline a series of tennis development activities.
She will be accompanied by Roger Smith, a former professional tennis player from The Bahamas, as part of a partnership with Africa 10 (A10).
Adams and Smith will lead a two-day tennis clinic at the Accra Tennis Club, beginning on Saturday, June 21, for young players aged 7 to 12, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (GMT).
The clinic continues on Sunday, June 22, focusing on players aged 13 to 17, and will also include an engagement session with local tennis coaches.

In addition to the clinics, both will participate in a stakeholder meeting on June 21 at the Kempinski Hotel, under the theme: “Legacy: What’s Next for Ghana Tennis?”
Their visit is expected to give Ghanaian tennis a major boost, in line with the overarching theme of the clinic: “Africa: Elevating Ghana Tennis.”
Roger Smith represented The Bahamas at the 1992 Olympic Games and reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 96 in 1988, establishing himself as one of the Caribbean’s top tennis players of his era.
Katrina Adams, a former professional doubles player, won 20 WTA doubles titles and reached the semifinals at Wimbledon in 1988.
Beyond the court, she made history as the first African-American and former professional player to lead the USTA.
