The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with a burglary and theft incident that occurred at Kasoa Nyayano in the Central Region.
The arrest follows a thorough review of CCTV footage which captured the suspect during the commission of the crime.
The suspect, identified as Ibrahim Abubakar Sadiq, was arrested on 16th June 2025 at his hideout in Agbogbloshie, a suburb of Accra.

At the time of his arrest, he was reportedly wearing the same clothing he had on during the burglary, as seen in the surveillance footage.
Preliminary investigations by the Police indicate that Sadiq stole several valuable items, including an iPhone 14 Pro Max worth GHC9,000, a Barclays ATM card, a UK driver’s licence, and an amount of £2,000 in cash.

During interrogation, the suspect admitted to committing the crime and disclosed that he sold the stolen iPhone at Agbogbloshie to an unidentified buyer for GHC2,000.
The suspect is currently in Police custody, assisting with further investigations.
Authorities have confirmed that he will be arraigned before court in due course as they continue efforts to retrieve the stolen items and identify any accomplices.
