Ghanaian reggae/dancehall and traditional artiste, Masaany, has commended fellow musician Ras Kuuku for the strong support he has shown him, particularly with his latest release, Pose.
Speaking to Doreen Avio on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Masaany revealed that Ras Kuuku, who is also featured on the track, has been instrumental in pushing the song, especially with its promotion.
“He is one brother who is really clean. He really supports, especially in terms of promotion. He has been in that situation before and he is on the streets and in the ghetto. He can even support you to do the video for the song,” Masaany said.
He also highlighted that many artistes shy away from collaborations, yet such projects are valuable because they provide an opportunity to connect with new audiences and tap into each other’s fan bases.
Masaany, affectionately known as the 'Dancehall Messiah', blends dancehall with traditional Ghanaian rhythms, creating a unique sound that stands out on the local music scene.
Ras Kuuku, a well-known reggae and dancehall artiste, has long been recognised for his support of underground and emerging talents. His street credibility and grassroots appeal have made him a respected figure among Ghanaian music lovers.
Masaany’s new single Pose, featuring Ras Kuuku, is currently available on digital streaming platforms.
