A leading member of Dr Bryan Acheampong’s campaign team, Andy Appiah-Kubi, says the team is confident of a decisive win in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming presidential primaries scheduled for January 2026.
Speaking on JoyNews’ The Pulse on Tuesday, 24 June, Mr Appiah-Kubi said the campaign is steadily gaining momentum across the country.
“All that I can say is that we are getting ready to win. We have started the race, and we will definitely win. We will win—and win well,” he declared.
According to him, the team has already begun intensive engagements with key stakeholders and potential delegates nationwide, positioning itself for success in what is shaping up to be a competitive race.
“Starting with the numbers that we have, it only stands to reason that if the numbers appreciate in due course, we will be in the lead,” he added.
Dr Acheampong, a former Minister for Food and Agriculture, is among several prominent figures vying for the NPP’s flagbearer slot ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Mr Appiah-Kubi noted that the campaign is focused on delivering a compelling message to delegates and building on strong grassroots structures.
“We are very hopeful that in the course of interaction with the people, they will understand our message, they will understand our brand, and they will go with us,” he concluded.
