In a commanding display of brilliance and precision, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Girls’ SHS from Techiman delivered one of the strongest performances yet in the Bono East regional qualifiers of the 2025 NSMQ regionals.
The girls scored an impressive 67 points to finish miles ahead of their challengers and secure a well-deserved spot in the national championship.

Their contest featured Atebubu SHS who came second with 33 points while Yeji SHTS managed 18 points, and Osei Bonsu SHS 12 points, but none could match the intensity and control Mount Carmel brought to the stage. From Round One, the girls made it clear, this was their contest to win.
The victory continues Mount Carmel’s consistent NSMQ streak. Known for reaching the one-eighth stage in previous editions in 2021 and 2023, the school has built a reputation as one of Bono East’s strongest contenders.

Their 67 points also stand among the highest scores recorded so far in the region.
