Highlife star Kaakyire Kwame Fosu, a.k.a. KK Fosu, has released a tribute song for the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.
Ghanaians have been mourning the legendary musician who passed on a few days ago, with a National Candlelight Vigil held last Saturday in celebration of his illustrious musical career.
KK Fosu, in the newly released song titled “Lumba,” expresses his condolences to the bereaved family, urging them to stay strong in these difficult times.
Speaking in an interview after the release, KK Fosu said Daddy Lumba was a music icon he always looked up to and also paved the way for younger artistes like him.
“This tribute song is to celebrate the good works of Daddy Lumba and the impact he has had over the past four decades. He is an inspiration for all younger Highlife artistes and for me personally, he shaped and inspired my career,” said KK Fosu.
The newly released single, which is available across various streaming platforms, also comes along with a visualiser that was shot by Zizi.
