The Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) Ghana has expressed deep sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences to government and the bereaved families following the tragic helicopter crash on Wednesday.
In a solemn statement signed by its National Overseer, Pastor Dr. E. K. Tumsiah, the Ministry said it joins the entire nation in mourning the devastating loss, describing the incident as a “great tragedy.”
“On behalf of the leadership, pastors, workers, and the entire membership of the Ministry across the nation, we convey our deepest condolences to the President of the Republic, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the Government, and the People of Ghana at this difficult time,” the statement said.
The church extended particular sympathy to the grieving families who have lost loved ones, urging them to take solace in the eternal arms of God.
“We especially reach out in love and prayer to the grieving families who have lost their dear ones in this devastating incident.
"We recognise the faithful and sacrificial service of the departed, and we honour their memory with deep reverence.”
Calling for national unity in the face of grief, DCLM encouraged Ghanaians to turn to God for healing and strength.
“As a body of believers committed to the cause of Christ and the peace of our nation, we pray that the God of all comfort will stretch forth His everlasting arms around the bereaved, granting them grace and divine strength,” the statement continued.
“May the peace of God that passes all understanding keep the hearts and minds of our national leaders and citizens during this trying time.”
Quoting Deuteronomy 33:27 — “The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms” — the Ministry offered prayers for unity, healing, and renewed hope.
“Though we do not understand all things, we are persuaded that the Lord reigns in righteousness, and His counsel shall stand,” the statement concluded. “May the souls of the departed rest in the bosom of the Lord, and may their labour never be forgotten.”
