The Acting Chief Justice, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, has announced that he will be out of the jurisdiction from Monday, August 18 to August 28.
In his absence, the most senior Justice of the Supreme Court, His Lordship Justice Gabriel Pwamang, will assume the role of Acting Chief Justice.
This was contained in a circular dated August 13, 2025, and distributed to all Justices of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and High Court, as well as heads of divisions and units.

The notice was also copied to members of the Judicial Council, the General Legal Council, and the Acting Judicial Secretary.
Justice Baffoe-Bonnie, who has been serving as Acting Chief Justice, conveyed his compliments in the notice while affirming Justice Pwamang’s temporary leadership of the judiciary during the period.
