On her birthday, Obuobia Darko-Opoku, founder of the Ignite Youth Empowerment Initiatives, chose to celebrate in a way that reflected deep compassion rather than personal extravagance.
Instead of glamour, she dedicated the day to standing with the families of the 16 victims who lost their lives in the recent tragic accident at Obogu on the Kumasi–Accra road.
In a heartfelt act of generosity, she donated essential items and financial support to ease the burden on grieving families.

Her contributions included:
• 200 bags of rice
• 20 bags of sugar
• 60 gallons of oil
• 60 boxes of tomato paste
• 40 cartons of Ideal Milk
• 40 cartons of Milo
• ₵10,000 each to 20 affected families
• ₵50,000 to the church community
Her thoughtful gesture not only brought relief to the bereaved families but also served as a reminder that true celebration is often found in giving rather than receiving.
Through Ignite Youth Empowerment Initiatives, Obuobia Darko-Opoku has consistently championed empowerment, compassion, and service to humanity.

Her choice to dedicate her birthday to comforting grieving families reaffirms those values, portraying her as both a leader and a beacon of hope.
Her kindness stands as a reminder that the most enduring legacies are built on compassion, humanity, and the courage to support others in their darkest hours.
