Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has been appointed to the Management Committee of Ghana’s home-based national team, the Black Galaxies.
Badu joins a newly constituted team chaired by Executive Council member and Bechem United CEO, Kingsley Osei Bonsu, with Volta Regional FA Chairman Daniel Agboga serving as Vice Chairman.
Other members of the committee include Na-God FC CEO Michael Kofi Oduro and Daniel Asante of Wamanafo Mighty Royals.
The Committee has been tasked with overseeing “the strategic direction and competitive readiness” of the Black Galaxies for future assignments.
According to the Ghana Football Association, Badu’s addition is “expected to boost the committee with first-hand knowledge of international football and player development.”
Badu previously featured for the Black Galaxies at the 2009 African Nations Championship in Côte d'Ivoire.
He later played a pivotal role in Ghana’s historic 2009 U-20 AFCON and FIFA U-20 World Cup triumphs before going on to earn 78 caps for the Black Stars.
The Galaxies did not qualify for the just-ended Africa Nations Championship (CHAN), having been knockout out of the qualifiers by West African rivals Nigeria.
