One person has died in a fatal accident at Sanso Junction on the Obuasi–Dunkwa highway.
A Kia truck traveling from Wassa Japa to Anhwiankwanta with two persons on board, was involved in a fatal accident on the Obuasi–Dunkwa highway at Sanso Junction.
According to police reports, the driver of the truck, Yahaya Abdul Samed, aged 31, veered off his lane and collided head-on with an oncoming Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus with registration number AS 3789-21.

The minibus was driven by Ibrahim Yusif, aged 32, who was heading from Obuasi to Dunkwa with 23 passengers on board.
Several occupants of the minibus sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to the Obuasi Government Hospital and the AGA Health Foundation Hospital at Obuasi for treatment.
Tragically, one of the passengers, Mary Boatemaa, aged 62, who was onboard the Sprinter bus, died at the scene.
Her body has since been deposited at the Obuasi Government Hospital mortuary.
