Nations FC held Asante Kotoko to a goalless draw at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in week five of the Ghana Premier League.
The hosts maintained their impressive unbeaten record against the Porcupine Warriors, stretching it to five matches.
It was a cagey affair with few clear-cut chances created by either side, though Kotoko came closest to breaking the deadlock.
Forward Morifing Donzu timed his run perfectly to meet a through ball by Peter Acquah, but his shot was comfortably pushed away by Nations FC goalkeeper Hadina Bariu.
The Abrankese-based club struggled to find openings against a Kotoko defence that has yet to concede this season.
Kasim Mingle’s men are now winless since their season-opening victory over Swedru All Blacks and will look to bounce back when they face Dreams FC next.
Meanwhile, Kotoko, led by Karim Zito, turn their attention to continental duty, with a CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round clash against Wydad Athletic Club scheduled for October 19.
