President John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to visit the Western Region on Tuesday, October 21.

This was announced in a statement issued by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Western Regional Communication Bureau and signed by its Communications Officer, Richard Kirk-Mensah.

According to the statement, “President John Dramani Mahama will return to the Western Region on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, for a significant one-day working tour centred on development and accountability.”

As part of his visit, the President is expected to fulfil a major promise to residents by cutting the sod for the long-awaited Sekondi-Takoradi to Cape Coast dual carriageway.

“This transformative project, part of the government’s ‘Big Push’ agenda, is set to boost trade and travel,” the letter stated.

He will also inspect key health facilities, including the ongoing expansion of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital and other health-related projects. The statement noted that this forms part of his commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery across the country.

“President Mahama will also assess progress on vital health infrastructure, with a scheduled inspection of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital expansion and other ongoing health projects, underscoring his administration’s focus on improving public health services,” it added.
