Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has held a bilateral meeting with the Director-General of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), Mr. Ashish Khanna, on the sidelines of the 8th Session of the ISA Assembly in New Delhi, India.
The meeting focused on strengthening the partnership between Ghana and the ISA to advance renewable energy deployment and enhance efficiency across the energy value chain, particularly within the distribution sector.
Discussions also explored opportunities for deepening technical collaboration and developing sustainable financing mechanisms to accelerate Ghana’s transition toward clean and reliable energy.

Mr. Khanna reaffirmed ISA’s commitment to supporting Ghana through technical expertise, capacity building, and financial assistance — efforts aimed at expanding access to affordable solar energy and promoting sustainable development.

Mr. Jinapor expressed optimism that the strengthened collaboration would help build a resilient, efficient, and inclusive energy ecosystem in Ghana — one that harnesses solar power to drive sustainable growth and ensure energy security for all.
