The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) is calling on all its members to apply to attend in the 29th GJA Media Awards, scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The event will be hosted by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and will feature President John Mahama as the Special Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker.
Other notable dignitaries, including Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin and Acting Chief Justice Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, are also expected to grace the occasion.
The GJA said the awards, which celebrate excellence in journalism and honour outstanding media professionals, are a cornerstone of its mission to promote high ethical standards and professionalism in the media space.
Members interested in attending are to apply via the official online form at https://forms.gle/1PbA3CaTFPiuJbLn6 by Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at midday.
Those travelling from Accra are expected to arrive in Kumasi on Friday, November 7, and depart on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
The GJA urged members to take advantage of this opportunity to be part of what it describes as “a historic celebration of Ghanaian journalism at the revered seat of Asanteman.”
